3. SPIRITS AND BEERS
Who are your grain suppliers?
For spirits, we purchase all our grains from the Harvey family in Isle-aux-Coudres. For beers, we use multiple local suppliers whenever possible.
Will you sell your neutral alcohol to other distilleries in Quebec?
Currently, our neutral alcohol is only sufficient for the production of our own spirits. Given the quantities involved, it is impossible for us to sell it to other distilleries at this time.
What is the best way to drink your spirits?
We suggest enjoying them neat or on ice to start with. Then you can mix them with a little sparkling water. We have also developed a series of cocktail recipes available on our website.
How should I store your spirits?
We recommend storing bottles in a cool, dark place to prevent the taste from deteriorating over time. However, given the design of our bottles, you can display them wherever you like, as long as they are not exposed to direct light.
Do spirits or beers contain gluten or lactose?
All of our spirits are gluten-free and lactose-free. However, since the grains are milled in the same facility as our production, we cannot guarantee the absence of cross-contamination. If you are interested in learning more, please consult the list of ingredients on each product page.
All beers contain gluten and some contain lactose. Please check the list of ingredients on each product page.

Are sediments normal in your beers and spirits?
Since our spirits and beers are made with grains, fruits, yeast, etc., they may contain sediment. At Menaud, we love sediment. It's natural.

6. ENVIRONMENT
What is Menaud doing for the environment?
The production of spirits and beer creates by-products. We try to ensure that these do not become waste. For example, spent grain from the brewery is reused by farmers in Charlevoix. Gin botanicals are dehydrated to make a blend of culinary spices.
We strive to eliminate packaging made from non-renewable resources, such as plastic, as much as possible. The cardboard boxes we use for packaging are generally made from recycled materials.
Are bottles and cans recyclable? Can we return them for a deposit?
Spirits bottles are not yet returnable, but they can be recycled or used as vases or water bottles. All beer cans and bottles are returnable.
