A classic cocktail, a timeless ritual. An absinthe fountain allows ice-cold water to drip onto sugar cubes, a process which turns the liquid cloudy – known as the louche effect. A recipe that lets you experiment and dilute the spirit as much or as little as you prefer.

0. A recipe that lets you experiment. For 1 oz of Absinthe, it is possible to add between 1-3 sugar cubes* (of 4 g) and between 2-5 oz of water*.

1. Pour the absinthe in a glass that can also hold the amount of water desired.

2. Place an absinthe spoon on the rim of the glass and add a sugar cube on top.

3. Use the absinthe fountain to drip ice-code water onto the cubes.

4. Turn off the tap when the desired amount of water has been added to the glass.

5. Stir the mixture with a spoon to dissolve any remaining sugar.
